K-9 Medical Simulator
Realistic Canine Casualty Training
The K-9 Medical Simulator replicates a Belgian Malinois working dog, built for tactical and pre hospital training where realistic canine casualty care is essential. Designed for military medics, law enforcement tactical teams, search and rescue units, and EMS working with K9 partners, it closes the training gap between human mannequins and live animals. Instructors can practice airway management with a life like airway that accepts 10mm ET tubes, place IV lines with flash feedback, and use four intraosseous sites for IO access. Interchangeable limbs with amputation, open fracture, soft tissue injury, burns and penetrating wounds let teams rehearse evacuation, hemorrhage control, and advanced field care under realistic conditions.
Advanced Control and Physiologic Response
Built for realistic scenario fidelity, the simulator integrates wireless tablet control that manages independent lung function, breathing rate, and an adjustable pulse with variable rate, frequency and pulse pressure. A 1 liter onboard blood reservoir supports active bleeding scenarios, and bilateral needle decompression sites allow release of air for thoracocentesis training. The system runs on a single rechargeable NiMH battery with charger included, and remote control software is supplied for instructor driven realism. Rugged construction, remote independent lung control and user adjustable vitals make the unit effective for dynamic mission specific training.
Built Tough for Field Use
Durability and serviceability are core design priorities. The simulator uses a welded steel skeleton with solid metal joints for lifelike limb articulation and expanded joint range of motion. Durable fur covers withstands handling in austere environments, it can be hand washed and brushed, and shaveable replacement fur is provided for IV and tracheostomy sites. The trainer is hand assembled in LaGrange, KY by US Veterans, and ships in a rugged three wheeled deployment bag for transport and storage. Environmental design and drop resilience ensure the platform performs across classroom, outdoor training lanes and field deployments.
Multi Scenario Flexibility
This K9 platform supports a wide range of mission profiles, from Tactical Combat Casualty Care to mass casualty exercises and disaster response. Five interchangeable limbs simulate complete amputation, open fracture, soft tissue injury, road rash or burns, and penetrating trauma, enabling progressive scenario complexity. A tracheostomy training insert with shaveable fur and multi layer tissue lets teams practice surgical airways, while a CPR chest provides compressions training. The included remote tablet and adjustable vitals let instructors run scripted or spontaneous events for single operator control or integrated multi casualty training.
