The Heat Reflective Shell Insulated is designed to preserve core temperature while enabling rapid patient access, making it an essential tool for military medics, EMS crews, and tactical operators. When seconds count during cold exposure, prolonged extrication, or multi casualty incidents, this shell provides immediate 360° access to the casualty with minimal exposure to the elements. At L 78 in. x W 43 in., the covering accommodates most adult patients, and at just 2.81 lbs packed, it integrates easily into patrol kits, ambulance packs, or rescue bags. Multi Layer Thermal Design with Hydrophobic Insulation

Built from a 5 ply composite fabric, the HRS I incorporates a protected non conductive reflective layer that reduces radiant heat loss, plus a new Climashield insulation layer top and bottom for added thermal retention. The Climashield insulation exceeds the insulation value of current patrol bag systems, offering high compressibility and rapid rebound on deployment. Aquaban technology makes the insulation hydrophobic so it will not retain fluids or add liquid weight, preserving insulating performance in wet conditions. Continuous 1.5 in. hook and loop closures around the perimeter allow full 360° access to the patient while minimizing exposure to wind and precipitation.

Reinforced Construction for Field Durability

Durability and load support are built into the HRS I, with reinforcement and testing to support 250+ lb for casualty handling and secure transport. The composite fabric is rugged enough for repeated field use, and the protected reflective layer is non conductive so it can be used safely around electrical hazards and monitoring equipment. Seams and closure points are reinforced to resist tearing during rapid deployments, and the shell packs down to H 11.25 in. x W 9 in. x D 4.25 in. for compact storage. The lightweight, resilient construction combines long term durability with ease of carry for operations where kit space is limited.
