VIRTUAL PATIENT IMMERSIVE TRAINER (VPIT)

DESCRIPTION

Working in conjunction with the industry leading TOMManikin, the VPIT enhances the visual representation of patient conditions, ultimately leading to improved clinical recognition skills. The VPIT system mimics visually complex patient conditions and the progression of injury and illness. From traumatic brain injury and CBRNE events to anaphylaxis and bacterial infections, the Virtual Patient Immersive Trainer delivers life-like cues based on real-world patients. Developed by Unveil, the VPIT is designed to integrate with the North American Rescue Simulation's TOMManikin system. Wearing a Microsoft Hololens 2, trainees experience realistic visual cues from the eyes, skin, and natural kinetic movements. These cues are critical for patient assessment and dramatically increase the fidelity and value of your simulation suite.
