SAM IO Driver
The SAM IO Driver is a manually operated device that works by continuously compressing a trigger to create a rotational spin of the needle assembly. By exerting gentle pressure, the manually actuated driver provides a controlled and accurate IO placement. Since this driver does not depend on electronic power sources such as batteries, it is a dependable tool in the field or hospital setting. The manual-driver aspect also allows for finite, controlled speed and placement.
Once the needle is in a proper position, the stylet can be removed and the extension set can be connected via the standard Luer-lock. Once connected, aspiration verification, flushing and treatment(s) can be started. A stabilizer can be placed around the catheter to prevent it from being accidentally dislodged or removed (the SAM IO Stabilizer is available here).
