Defibtech LifeLine View / ECG AED, Aviation
by
Aviation Battery Pack
Defibtech states that, as required by the Federal Aviation Administration, certain Lifeline VIEW and Lifeline ECG configurations include a battery pack certified for civil aviation. Defibtech's spec sheets list the DBP-2013 aviation battery pack as TSO C-142a. The TSO covers the lithium battery pack, not the AED as a whole.
Video and Voice Guidance
Both models are semi-automatic AEDs. A high-resolution color screen shows full-motion video instructions, and voice prompts and CPR coaching guide the rescuer. The Lifeline ECG can also switch to an ECG display that shows ECG data and event information.
Self-Tests
Automatic daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly self-tests check the AED's circuitry, and the pre-connected pads are tested daily. The status screen shows the self-test results and the status and expiration of the pads and battery.
