Why the AED Pro instead of a standard AED?+
Your clinical staff can read ECG rhythms and make treatment decisions — they deserve a device that supports that capability. The AED Pro provides real-time ECG display, manual override, and See-Thru CPR for rhythm assessment during compressions.
Can non-clinical staff still use it?+
Yes. In semiautomatic mode, voice and text prompts guide the rescuer step by step, like other AEDs. Clinical staff can switch to manual mode for full control. One device serves both audiences.
What is See-Thru CPR?+
See-Thru CPR is a ZOLL-proprietary filter that reduces CPR artifact on the ECG display, allowing clinicians to assess the underlying rhythm without stopping compressions. This means better clinical decisions with less interruption to CPR.
Can we upgrade to ALS later?+
ZOLL designs the AED Pro for basic and advanced life support, but it does not list an upgrade path to a full ALS monitor. If you expect to need one, plan for it separately.
Does it require a prescription?+
Yes. As a professional-grade device with ECG and manual override capabilities, the AED Pro requires a physician's prescription. Contact us about the prescription before you order.
What maintenance is required?+
The AED Pro performs self-tests and reports status. Electrode pads and battery need periodic replacement. For clinical environments, we recommend including the AED Pro in your regular biomedical equipment maintenance schedule.
