Why the AED Pro over a standard AED for fire/EMS?+

Can BLS volunteers use the same device?+
Yes. In semiautomatic mode, voice and text prompts guide the rescuer like other AEDs. ACLS crews switch to manual mode for more control. One device serves both skill levels — simplifying training and inventory.
What is See-Thru CPR?+
A ZOLL-proprietary filter that removes CPR artifact from the ECG display, allowing crews to assess the underlying rhythm without stopping compressions. This maintains perfusion during rhythm assessment — aligned with AHA guidelines to minimize CPR interruptions.
Does it integrate with our ePCR system?+
The AED Pro captures event data that can be downloaded for quality review, post-event debriefing, and ePCR documentation. Data transfer options include USB and IrDA infrared.
What about the ALS upgrade path?+
ZOLL designs the AED Pro for basic and advanced life support, with semiautomatic and manual modes. ZOLL does not list an upgrade path to a full ALS monitor, so plan for that separately.
How rugged is it really?+
Vibration tested to MIL-STD-810F, drop tested to 1.5 m, and IP55 rated for dust and water. Designed for the daily abuse of fire apparatus, scene work, and station operations.
